An EdUHK research project

Design interdisciplinary STEAM lessons in minutes

A research prototype from The Education University of Hong Kong, exploring how agentic AI — grounded in real STEM pedagogy — can help teachers design coherent, interdisciplinary lesson plans, then refine them through chat and a block-based editor.

Features

Everything you need to plan STEAM lessons

From first draft to classroom-ready, with AI at every step.

AI lesson generation

Describe your requirements and get a complete, structured STEAM lesson plan in minutes, powered by DeepSeek + LangChain.

Multi-document editor

Manage lesson plans, teaching guides, and worksheets together in one block-based workspace.

Agentic editing

An LLM agent edits your document with tools — and every change is a pending diff you review before it's saved.

Chat-based refinement

Refine any lesson through natural conversation — add activities, adjust difficulty, or rewrite a section.

Version history

Full version control and an edit history so you can track and revisit every change.

Lesson library

Organize your lessons with favorites, tags, and archiving — your whole curriculum in one place.

Bilingual EN / 中文

Generate and edit lessons in English or Traditional Chinese, end to end.

PDF & Word export

Export classroom-ready documents to PDF or Word, with Chinese typography and diagrams supported.

Process

How it works

Four steps from idea to a polished, exportable lesson.

1

Describe your requirements

Set the grade, STEAM domains, topic, duration, and teaching approach.

2

AI streams a draft

Watch a complete, structured lesson plan appear in real time.

3

Refine with chat & the agent

Chat to improve it, and let the agentic editor make precise edits you accept or reject.

4

Export & teach

Export to PDF or Word and bring it straight into your classroom.

Behind the scenes — how the AI agent builds each lesson

1

Query

A teacher asks for a lesson idea.

2

Refine

The agent sharpens the request.

3

Retrieve

It pulls vetted pedagogy from the knowledge base.

4

Generate

A coherent, interdisciplinary plan is produced.

EdUHK

Grounded in research at EdUHK

This platform is the research prototype behind “Constructing Interdisciplinary Design for STEM Education through Structured Agentic RAG”, a project at the EdUHK Department of Mathematics and Information Technology supported by the Departmental Collaborative Research Fund 2025-26. Developed by a research team at EdUHK, it brings curated pedagogy and AI-driven retrieval into everyday lesson planning — helping teachers design coherent, interdisciplinary STEM lessons.
